Table Numbers!

Now that the wedding is OVER, I can focus on my blog for a little while! I did my table numbers all by myself! I used Picnik by Google. I simply uploaded the pictures and added a number to them in one of our wedding colors. BAM! Table numbers!

The table numbers were one of my easiest projects. I got them printed at Sam's Club for about $0.17/each. I also bought 5x7 picture frames from Dollar Tree. They were really nice frames, too! Kind of like shadow frames.

For those of you trying to figure out what to do for table numbers, this is an easy project and a nice way to personalize your wedding even more!

Share the Wealth!

Well, really there's no money! lol. But I did redesign my photo share cards! I decided that 250 business cards from Vista Print was way more than I needed, so they will be on postcards instead. Here's the new design:

I love it. It kinna reminds me of our STD.

The Last of Boxing

I've ALSO completed my card box! It was very fun! It only took me so long because I took LOOOOONG breaks in between doing stuff to it. lol. Oh well. I finally got it done. Here's my baby:

I'm very pleased with the way it came out! I might do a tutorial later. I think that all together, the box cost me less than $30!

More Boxing!

I have completed the painting of my boxes for my card box! I'm excited! I already had the green paint, and I got the blue paint from Michael's with a 40% off coupon, so it was about $2.91, I think. The blue looks black in my cell phone picture. Hopefully it will look blue with a real flash.

Now, I don't know exactly what I want to do with the box! lol. And I really don't know how to cut the holes in it and all of that. But I guess I'll figure it out. I have a couple other checks, but I want them to have their own posts because they are all very deserving! LOL! Any ideas for my box?!

Boxed In

I've been searching for paper mache boxes for quite some time, now! I've been to about 3 Joann's looking for them, but they only seem to sell them on their website. {That's dumb!} Michael's only had really little ones. Hobby Lobby never had the sizes that I wanted. So, I started to get really angry! So, today, I took my aunt's dog to the vet to get his shots. I had to leave him there, and there's nothing to do in that area so I drove to Baytown to check Babe's P.O. box.

I'd been waiting on my swatch from Henkaa to come, and it finally arrived!!! I like the shade of navy blue that they have. I will inform my bridesmaids probably tomorrow that they are clear to order their dresses!

Back to real matters:
While in Baytown, I stopped by their Hobby Lobby. What a great call on my part! THEY HAD THE BOXES!!! I bought 3. None were on sale, nor did I have a coupon, but I only spent about $14. I'm ok with that. I'm going to wait to have a coupon to buy my acrylic paint, which is on sale now for 25% off... so I MIGHT go get it.

I think I'm going to paint the boxes navy and lime, 2 navy, 1 lime. On the navy ones, I think I will add the same lime ribbon from the invitations and add navy ribbon to the lime one. Or I might decorate them some way and use the wide ribbon to tie into a bow at the top. I don't know what I'm going to do exactly. We'll see.

Here's a pic of how I think I want the boxes to be stacked.

Well, I do plan for them to be centered! LOL! I actually want a bigger square box for the bottom, but I can't find one. I hope I end up finding one because I have a GREAT idea for the large bottom box!

Please Share!

I have decided to do Photo Share Cards. I know that I'm impatient when it comes to seeing pictures. Today, I designed my cards in less than 30 minutes. I'll be using a coupon from Vista Print for 250 free premium business cards AND free uploads. I'll only be spending about $17 for shipping and it's $12.99 for the full color back side of the card. I totally used one of my Knottie sister's, Pasma, words from her photo share cards found here. Here are my cards.

Monograms

I'm buying my paper for my invitations from Cards and Pockets. They also sale the 2x2 monograms for the belly bands. I was going to buy them, but someone reminded me that I could do them myself! So, I did just that! The ones I wanted from CP are $2.99 for 15 2x2 monograms. I was actually okay with that. {Well, I picked a different design so it was 20 for $2.99.} I went on Publisher and created a monogram very similar to the one on CP.
CPs:

Mine:
{Sorry it's blurry, don't feel like trying to correct it.}

So, I went to Michael's yesterday with a 50% off coupon from Retail Me Not and bought a 50 pk of card stock for $2.15. That's less than I would have paid for 15 monograms from CP.

The one issue I had was the fact that the card stock doesn't exactly match the paper on the inside of the invitation! I really don't feel like searching for paper, and I refuse to pay CP $5.00 for 25 sheets of card stock. So, I'm at the point where I don't really care if it matches exactly. I'm sure I'm the only one that will really notice that. So, today, I will be printing out the monograms and maybe cutting them later. I'm going to do everything separate.

Also on my to-do list for the day is finding boxes for my card box and buying the envelopes for my STDs that came in day before yesterday. And I'll be addressing envelopes tomorrow and hopefully mailing out by Tuesday! Stay tuned!

Save That Date!!!

I FINALLY ordered our STDs!!! Thanks to VPs free magnets and 50% off uploading coupon {then the upload is free after paying once} I spent $27.09 for 50 large magnets!!! YAY!!! Now I need to go to Office Depot to get some envelopes. But I guess that can wait until the STDs come in. Don't wanna get the wrong size envelopes.

Special Programming

I'm sitting here watching my court shows {Divorce Court, Judge Alex, Judge Pirro}. I'm going to O-K Paper Source when I'm done watching my shows. I plan to price card stock for my invitations and programs. I already know how much my card stock will be for the invitations, but I want to see what I'll want or need for the programs. Part of that, though, will include me knowing what I want for the programs! I initially wanted them to be made exactly like the invitations, but now I'm not too sure. I would love to keep that theme, but I think I'll just try to keep the similar. Here are some programs that I'm loving right now and the things I like about them. {All programs found on The Knot}

I love the simplicity of the monogram on the cover.

But I also like the cute, fun style monogram and cover of this program. And they are almost my wedding colors! :-)

I love the simplicity of these. Seems very inexpensive to make... which I like!

I'm not too sure what I like about this one, but I like it! lol

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the big bow!

I thought that while typing this, I would come up with how I'll do my programs. I still think I'm a little clueless! I think that for money sake, I'll do the simple 3rd one. Maybe have the words in navy and the ribbon green, like the invitation. And I can use the same fonts from the invitations. Whatever I do, I'm sure it'll work together!

Will You Be My...?!

My first official DIY project is complete!!! Thanks Knottie Sweets18 for allowing me to "modify" this idea of yours! Here's how I will be asking the girls to be in my BP, for less than $30.
{Over spent on boxes, but oh well.}
Bridesmaid makeup bags from Michael's, $4.99/each.
Used tissue paper in my wedding colors, $1 at Dollar Tree.
Shirt on sale at Old Navy for about $6. {Thanks Eagles!} And iron on from Michael's, $1.}

I hope they all say yes!!!

A Piece in the Center

As we all know, I want to do a lot {kinna} of DIY stuff! My venue has centerpieces to choose from, but I don't think they are exactly what I'm looking for. I haven't seen all of them that they have, but I know I won't like them. lol. While looking for vases, I stumbled on Dollar Tree's website. So, I stumbled to their vases. Then... BAM! I saw a vase that I liked AND a whole dang centerpiece!!!

I LOVE this simple centerpiece! It's so simple, elegant, and a little fun! These flowers are called gladiolus. Hopefully they will be in season and they can be green or something! lol. I also like the way the roses looked. I just think roses are real common at weddings and that's not what I want.

Owww, after posting this, I found the flower in green! I plan to start looking for a florist tomorrow!

You Coming?!

I don't recall if I mentioned this before, but I want to make my own invitations. I also wanted to design them. {I do have a friend doing a design or border, too. Just in case I don't like mine.} I think I have it down. All I want to do is change the font, per KP's request, and that should be all. I downloaded the trial Adobe Illustrator, and since then, I've been on a mission to get it complete in the 30 days provided! lol. I have pictures of the invitation I'm using for inspiration and my invite draft.
This is the front cover, with a belly band made of ribbon. I plan to use navy blue card stock and lime ribbon.
The ribbon holds the RSVP card and any other cards in place.
The actual invitation is on the opposite side.

I like how it's like a little book. Here's my invitation so far. {Names and other info taken out.}
I'm pretty proud of myself. Babe likes it, too! What do you all think?!

I'm Catching Hell

I'm WIDE AWAKE at 12:28am trying to design my invitations in my newly downloaded Adobe Illustrator trial! lol. I have 3o days to get this right. {I plan on purchasing it...maybe.} So, I have all of my wording in there, but I can't figure out how to make a pretty design! AND I can't figure out how to get a picture of it on here without having all of our personal info showing. I hate that! I'm determined to figure this mess out! I refuse to be defeated by technology! I guess I'll have to get it tomorrow because I think I want to get in bed and finish watching fine Shamar Moore on Criminal Minds! Someone, PLEASE HELP me figure out Illustrator before I lose my mind!

I Think I Have A Cavity!

Well, that's not something I really have to think about because I actually do! LOL! But that's not what I'm talking about. Last night, for WHATEVER reason, I dreamed about a candy bar. How random?! I saw the display and everything. I don't really remember any of it now. All I remember is me being so happy about the deal I got on the little bags from Palmer Packaging. I went there earlier this month and they have amazing pricing on all of their packaging supplies! I think the little bags I want are like $5 for 100 bags. That's what I'm talking 'bout! And they are the self seal kind.

I found some nice jars, 3 for $30. I think that's pretty good. I don't know anything about buying JARS! lol. I found the jars on Koyal Wholesale's website. We shall see how this whole candy bar thing goes a little later in life. I'm only talking about it now since I dreamed about it.
